Taigh Na Coille occupies a wonderfully secluded position tucked behind pine trees above the beach creating an outstanding holiday destination for all ages. The beautifully presented interiors combined with the inspirational views across Lochailort to the Hebridean islands of Eigg and Rum make it easy to slow down, unwind and truly relax into holiday mode.
The double height open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area ensures that you don’t miss out on a moment of holiday time and the floor to ceiling windows make the most of the captivating views. Slide open doors on to the large elevated decking area which literally floats over the ancient rocky landscape beneath. Soak up the unrivalled al fresco dining seascape from sunrise to sunset or relax in the cedar hot tub and watch the sun sink beneath the horizon, leaving the sky ablaze with colour. If the weather changes simply retreat to warmth of the heated oak floors and curl up on the large sofa by the log-burner.
The second cosy sitting room upstairs is perfect for those who might want to watch TV or play games and the adjacent bedroom with its two cabin-style bunk beds will delight the younger generation. The luxurious master bedroom not only has its own decked balcony but also boasts a log-burner, making it all the more tempting to enjoy a lazy morning. There are two further delightful downstairs bedrooms both taking full advantage of the panoramic views and the bathroom is stylishly furnished with a deep double-end bath which has been perfectly positioned for relaxing in while gazing out across the bay at the astounding outlook.
Nestled between the mountains and the sea, Taigh Na Coille is ideal for enjoying the great outdoors with glorious picnic spots and endless walks right from the doorstep. Conveniently located within easy reach of Fort William, ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’, Taigh Na Coille is a perfect base for those looking to explore this fabulous area of Scotland with its amazing history, outstanding scenery and glorious wildlife. There are many local attractions including the distinguished Glenfinnan Monument, Nevis Range Ski Centre and downhill mountain bike course. Take a trip on the wonderful Jacobite Stream Train over the famous Glenfinnan viaduct from the Harry Potter films or experience the historic Glencoe. Loch Ness, The Isle of Skye, Ardnamurchan and Oban are all a comfortable day out and the islands of Skye, Rum, Muck, Eigg and Canna can be visited from nearby Mallaig and Arisaig.
Roshven and Lochailort is a fantastic place to observe many of the iconic Scottish species including otters, red deer, pine marten, Scottish wildcats, red squirrels and seals – you may even glimpse a golden eagle or sea eagle flying over the loch or in front of the mountains and trees.
