Over 120 years old, we'd love to welcome you to our homely, traditional highland 2 storey terraced townhouse, offering an excellent standard of accommodation. The house is conveniently situated on the pretty harbour front, with local shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and galleries all on your doorstep.
Tarbert is host to various festivals and events throughout the season, notably the Scottish Yachting Series, Seafood Festival, Tarbert Fair and the Music Festival.
The area is ideal for walking, cycling, kayaking (/ Stand Up Paddle Board) or touring by car. A huge range of activities are available nearby, including island hopping, golf, horse riding, fishing and clay pigeon shooting.
Afton can be rented as a whole house (3 bedrooms + 2 sofa beds) or 2 separate apartments (Castle View and Harbour View). All our beds are 'zip+link' so that they can be made up as king size or singles. When rented as individual units, the lounge in each have sofa beds which can be used for extra guests. Take a look at the photo gallery to see the different layouts.
The lounge in the Castle View apartment has magnificent views over the bay and towards King Robert the Bruce's castle, with an open fire to keep of the chill on cooler days. There's also a large, fully equipped dining kitchen and a WC / shower room.
Why not watch the fishing boats and yachts ply to & fro across the harbour from the lounge in Harbour View? The cosy lounge leads to a compact kitchen for those days you don't want to eat out. There's a cloakroom WC in the hall and the en-suite bedroom has an extra single bed if required. Well behaved dogs welcome.
