The self-catering cottages have been tastefully converted from the original 18th century sandstone farm buildings of Templand where the great Scottish historian Thomas Carlyle married Jane Welsh in 1826. Carlyle described the view from Templand's garden as 'The finest in Scotland'.

Located in beautiful unspoilt countryside, It is an ideal place to walk, cycle, and golf with superb salmon/trout fishing nearby.
