A spacious lochside apartment offering three double bedrooms, large kitchen diner and reception room. Formed from the ground floor of a large Victorian house, one of the famous Cove mansions. Ample parking on site.
The Apartment at Clevedon is located on the shores of Loch Long in the village of Cove on the Rosneath Peninsula. It enjoys superb views to the west over the Loch towards Cowal and the Argyll Hills beyond. The Peninsula adjoins the popular Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and enjoys magnificent coastal and mountain scenery.
The accommodation is a self contained apartment formed from the whole of the ground floor of a large three storey Victorian house. Clevedon House is one of the famous Cove Mansions: coastal villas built in the mid to late 19th century as weekend retreats for Glasgow’s industrial elite. Originally accessed by steamers from the Clyde, Cove is today very accessible by road in an hour or less from Glasgow and Glasgow Airport.
The Apartment has undergone extensive renovation and is arranged over a generous 2,300 square feet. It provides a large kitchen diner, sitting/TV room and three double bedrooms (master en-suite; others share a large family bathroom). There is guest WiFi throughout and all bedrooms have 32inch or larger HD TVs.
The kitchen is equiped with a six ring gas and electric range and everything a serious cook would need. A welcome hamper is provided on arrival. The Apartment has oil fired central heating and a utility room includes a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, iron and ironing board.
Outside there is a large lawn to the front of the building and ample parking. The Apartment provides good accessibility on one level via a private front door and vehicle access to the side of the building.
Whether your interest is hill walking, cycling, sailing, golf or fishing, the Apartment at Clevedon is a perfect base. For cyclists and hikers its right on the Clyde Sea Lochs Trail and a staging point for the West Highland Way to the North or the John Muir Way to the East. The Argyll Forest and Hills are on the door step. For more leisurely transport how about the West Highland Line steam train or the Waverley paddle steamer. For yachtsmen there are moorings nearby and facilities at Rhu Marina in Gare Loch. Within a 30 minute drive is Loch Lomond with many attractions including two of Scotland’s finest golf courses.
