Enjoy a peaceful break at the Beltie Byre self catering cottage, set on our organic working farm amid the stunning scenery of Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage sleeps between one and eight people and is perfect for couples, families and large groups. A warm friendly welcome awaits you with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove.
The cottage comprises of a family room, an ensuite double room and an ensuite twin room, with extra capacity available on the sofa bed in the studio. Each bedroom has a wardrobe, dressing table, bedside table and digital television. Beds are made up for your arrival and towels and additional bedding are provided.
There is a modern open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The fully fitted kitchen is designed to meet all your needs with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer combined, microwave, electric oven and hob, toaster, fridge and small freezer. The lounge area has a large L-shaped sofa, wood burning stove, and digital television with DVD player (and selection of DVDs).
From the lounge area, French doors lead out onto the patio with picnic table, allowing you to choose to eat inside or out. There is a small open garden area for guests to sit out and enjoy the surrounding scenery, a washing line is also available for guests to use. We also have a firebowl for guests to use, wood is supplied free of charge, if you would like to barbeque with the firebowl please bring your own briquettes.
During March and April it is lambing time on the farm and guests are welcome to help feed the lambs. The Beltie Byre is ideally situated within Dumfries and Galloway for easy access to local attractions. There is lots to do in the area including walking, fishing, mountain biking, golfing and horse riding. In addition come and see local castles, art, gardens, wildlife and museums.
