Surrounded by beautiful scenery, The Bothy is only 500 meters from Staffin Bay and only a short distance from some of the most dramatic scenery on Skye, namely the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr.
This lovely traditional stone built cottage sleeps 2 - 4.
Please note we also have the adjacent property 'The Barn' which sleeps 2-3. Another lovely stone built property, delightfully finished. The Bothy is an ideal holiday location for visitors as the house is situated in Staffin on the stunning Trotternish peninsula. Within just a few minutes walk, you can be on the shore, or searching for fossils and dinosaur footprints, found in 2002.
Panoramic views of the Quirang and surrounding mountains offer a spectacular backdrop where guests can enjoy excellent walking, sea and loch fishing and bird watching (Golden Eagles, Buzzards and Sea Eagles). Should you wish, you can also help the owner with traditional crofting chores such as cutting and collecting peat for the fire, sheering sheep and building a dry stone wall!!
For groceries, you simply need to walk about 30 yards to the traditional village shop.
Close by, you can enjoy meals at The Columba 1400 which offers excellent food during the day and evening or the Flodigarry Hotel, both excellent choices.
What more can be said, The Bothy is the ideal location for a truly relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of working life"....sit by the peat burning stove with a book and listen to the peace and quiet outside!
Linen and towels, electricity and heating are all included in the price.
