The Byre is a high quality, self-catering cottage that sleeps four in two en-suite bedrooms (1 king, 1 twin). It is a warm and welcoming ‘home from home’ in a lovely, quiet and peaceful location, off the beaten track, with fabulous panoramic sea and land views across the bay and beyond. It has smart TVs, fibre broadband with wifi throughout, reclining seating, wood burning stove, underfloor heating, fresh air filtering system, wet room, outside seating etc. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Sit back and relax and watch spectacular sunsets unfold in comfort. It's a great base for visiting many places of interest too, as the Trotternish is rich in history, and renowned for its wild landscapes of beauty and wildlife. There are dark skies too, making it an amazing place for stargazing; on clear evenings you may see the Milky Way and the magical Northern Lights. There are lovely rural walks straight from the door for example: over to the famous Rubha Hunish bothy with great views over The Minch to the Outer Hebrides; up onto the cliffs and along the coastal Skye Trail walk with great views to the mainland mountains. Come and explore the area and take in the views, see the local wildlife and sweep away those lockdown blues.
