The Cottage Bogroy is a comfortable and welcoming holiday home located on the edge of the village of Carrbridge, just 7 miles from Aviemore, and within Scotland’s beautiful Cairngorms National Park. Blending traditional and modern design, the cottage can accommodate up to 8 people and is perfect for families and groups visiting the Highlands.
Sitting on a terrace overlooking crofts and woodland, the cottage was built to reflect the design of the old croft house that once stood on the site. With four bedrooms, two sitting rooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and parking space for up to 3 cars, the cottage has everything you need for a relaxing visit.
There are two double bedrooms and two twin rooms - one upstairs and one downstairs. All the bedrooms have nightstands and lamps, built-in wardrobes and antique dressers, while the master bedroom also has a washbasin. In the downstairs twin, one bed can be collapsed and slid under the other if more space is required.
The main living room is decorated in warm colours and comfortably furnished with two sofas and a number of armchairs. The beautifully tiled open fire is the focal point of this cosy room. The internet-enabled TV has FreeSat and access to all your favourite streaming services, providing entertainment for relaxing nights in.
The second sitting room has a unique hexagonal shape and wooden floors. The large windows and French doors make this a light and sunny room. It has a log burning stove, comfortable wicker furniture, and a bookcase with adult and children’s books, as well as a selection of board games and puzzles.
The kitchen also has a log burning stove in the fireplace and a dining table seating eight. It is fully equipped with all the crockery, glassware, pans and utensils you might need. The kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and microwave. The adjoining utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, and fridge-freezer.
The main bathroom has a shower over the bath. The smaller shower room is newly refurbished.
Outside we have cheerful flowerbeds and a small lawn. Garden chairs are stored inside and can be used whenever you want to make the most of the weather.
Bedding, towels, fuel for the fires, and Wifi are all included. So that you can bring the whole family, we're happy for you to bring your dogs.
Electricity at the cottage is partly provided by the large array of solar panels on the roof, making us an ideal choice if you are looking for a low-carbon holiday. These panels also power our electric vehicle charging point (available on request for an additional fee).
In the village, you will find a shop, post office, petrol station, and a number of cafes and pubs serving locally-sourced food and beer. Carrbridge is also home to the famous Old Packhorse Bridge and the popular Landmark Forest Adventure Park, which is fantastic fun for all ages.
The Cottage Bogroy can be booked all year round for Saturday to Saturday stays. Outside peak periods, midweek stays and weekends are available. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Please note that there is a £15 surcharge per dog and that we charge a £150 refundable damage deposit. Fee for EV charging is variable depending on usage.
