Loch Goil is rightly considered one of the most scenic sea lochs in Argyll. The location of The Cottage, sitting at the head of the loch in a secluded garden area within Lochgoilhead village, makes this a truly special setting. Relax and take in the mountain and loch views, they will keep you coming back for more. Steps away from The Goil Inn as well as a short walk on the path round the head of the loch to reach the dining, entertainment and leisure facilities at the Drimsynie Estate.

The Cottage has been tastefully refurbished to make it the ideal venue for families, friends, walkers and reunions. Perfect to come together and celebrate time together in a wonderful location.
You reach Lochgoilhead from the viewpoint of the Rest and be Thankful. Follow the 6-mile single track road as it twists-and-turns down through the mountains. An impressive way to arrive. Lochgoilhead has an excellent range of activities including: golf, bicycle and boat hire, a leisure centre with a 25m indoor pool, or head 5 miles down to Carrick Castle for paddle boards and kayak hire. This is a superb walking area with marked trails and routes suitable for all levels.
The Property
Although it is called "The Cottage", you will see from the picture gallery that it is in fact an impressive detached villa siting within mature gardens, complete with its own driveway. To the front of the garden and over the hedge is an area called the village green which has a footpath linking the village to the other side of the loch via a footbridge. The gardens around the property have various secluded areas to enjoy the peaceful setting.
On the ground floor there are three large public rooms; a lounge, a dining room plus a well equipped games room. All look towards the loch. The kitchen is a superb size and has a range of units, integral appliances and range style cooker. There is access to a good size larder and rear porch leading to the courtyard area of the garden. There is also a beautiful bathroom and WC. Upstairs there are four good sized bedrooms plus a large shower room.
The Hot Tub
Located in the converted garage area adjoining the house, the 6-seater hot tub benefits from being in an all weather covered area at the same time as making the most of the loch view. The hot tub is drained, cleaned and re-filled between each party. The chemicals are checked during your stay to maintain the safest levels.

Arrival & Departure
- Arrive any time from 4pm. Departure time is 10am.
Pet – £30 per pet charge. You are welcome to bring up to 2 dogs. No pets upstairs. There is a pet fence at the bottom of the stairs. Please use. Let us know at time of booking if you are bringing a dog.
