Peaceful rural setting within small village. Cosy, self-contained, comfortable and spacious flat on ground-floor level to rear of Old Schoolhouse, Yarrowford. Very quiet and peaceful at night with wonderful night skies. Excellent as a base for outdoor pursuits. Historic houses nearby(Bowhill and Abbotsford both within 15 minutes' drive) St Mary's Loch only 20 minutes by car, beyond the historic(and welcoming Gordon Arms, which serves bar food. A good base for exploring local Borders towns, Abbeys and country houses. Edinburgh just over an hour by car.
Accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms(each with shower room), of which the larger has a king-size bed and the smaller, adult-sized bunks. The well-equipped kitchen has a full oven and microwave, large fridge/freezer and washing machine/drier. The spacious, sunny lounge/dining room has two "click-and-go" sofas which convert easily into single beds, making it possible to accommodate a maximum of 6. Freeview TV, DVD player, books and games are all available. The lounge has a gas fire, but the whole property, including the adjoining Old Schoolhouse which belongs to the owners, has oil central heating. The courtyard, accessed via patio doors in the lounge and from the main door, is a sun-trap; chairs, table and sunshade are there for guests to use.
