The Garden Bothy is a charming house in a pretty garden in the grounds of the Preston Hall Estate, near Pathhead and only 12 miles from Edinburgh.
Everything needed to prepare tasty meals is provided in the modern kitchen and the wood-burning stove in the sitting room makes a great focal point. The sunny conservatory looks out over the garden and the three double bedrooms are all set out on the one level. As well as its own grassed garden there is also access to the beautiful walled garden just adjacent.
Within the estate there are 250 acres of managed woodland to explore as well as scenic walks along the banks of the Tyne Water. Edinburgh (12m) has all the attractions and shops one could hope for and the city welcomes even more visitors than usual every August when the Edinburgh Festival arrives.
