The high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and the old wooden doors provide a brilliant contrast against the sleek fittings and furnishings. The shiny black kitchen has been kitted out with all of the modern appliances, and is strikingly beautiful against the rich, chocolate-coloured flooring. This is a property for socialising and celebrating – from the cocktail making facilities to the hot tub outside the courtyard, The Hideaway has everything you need to have a fantastic time without needing to leave the house. Each of the bedrooms have been stylishly decorated, two of which have ensuite bathrooms. The top floor of the steading has been made into a large sleeping area with two double beds, which is sure to be loved by kids and teenagers alike who will be delighted to have their own space. The property boasts wonderful countryside views, making it the perfect setting for your self catering holiday in Aberdeenshire.
There is plenty to do in Aberdeenshire during your stay at The Hideaway. For the adventurous type, take a leisurely bike ride on the numerous country roads and trails, or go for a ski down the Lecht. For those who enjoy some historical sightseeing, you are right on the edge of Scotland’s Castle Trail, so it’s a great place to start your tour across Aberdeenshire where there are more castles per acre than anywhere else in the country. The River Dee is fantastic for fishing and golfers have numerous courses in the area to enjoy. Banchory and Ballater are also lovely towns to visit, and Aberdeen itself has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to explore. Make sure you visit the Harbour, which has an arcade and amusement park that will keep the children entertained. Being just 25 miles away from Aberdeen, you are well placed for enjoying a slice of city life before heading back to the peacefulness of The Hideaway.
