The Lodge is a charming cottage known as “little Achamore house”, situated nearby Achamore gardens and is ideally placed to experience the abundant wildlife within the area. The cottage has its own garden, with a secure gate making it suitable for friendly dogs.
This spacious, 4-bedroom lodge is located to the south of the island, where a fascinating evening can be spent watching the local fishermen tie up with the local seals appearing in hope of a free meal.
From £13 per person per night, this cottage is ideal for large families or groups sharing. The Lodge has two double and two twin rooms with two Z-beds available on request, enabling the property to accommodate up to 10 people. A travel cot is available on request for infants. It also has two bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen area with electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher and a large lounge which includes a cosy log fire, colour TV and DVD player. Logs and kindling are available by prior arrangement.
Additional information: Access to the cottage is from 4pm on the day of arrival. You will have received an email confirmation containing the key safe code which you will need to retrieve your keys on arrival. Towels and toilet rolls are provided. The cottage does not have WiFi, however you will find WiFi at The Boathouse Restaurant Isle of Gigha, Gigha Gallery, Gigha Hotel and the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal.
Network coverage on Gigha is good with O2, Vodafone, Virgin and EE boasting very good outdoor and variable indoor (2G) service and the network 3 providing 3G to the island.
