Comfortable, characterful and peaceful two-bedroom self-catering cottage in the rural heart of East Lothian, yet still only 20 miles from Edinburgh. The perfect base to explore the county and the capital!

The Muckle Snug is a beautifully converted traditional farm building just outside Haddington. With two bedrooms and a sofa bed, it offers a comfortable home from home for up to six.

All on one level, the cottage is suitable for wheelchair users, and has been specifically designed to be child and pet friendly, with hardwood floors and a private enclosed garden.

Floor-to-ceiling windows optimise the outstanding views across the East Lothian countryside, while the woodburning stove makes it extra cosy on those winter nights. There's also a dedicated fire pit, so guests can make the most of the long summer evenings.

The master bedroom has a large and comfortable double bed, and ensuite shower room with toilet. Alongside the twin room is a family bathroom that can also be configured as an ensuite.

Prices includes all linen, towels and utilities and WIFI throughout. A travel cot, high chair and BBQ are available on request at no extra charge.

Plenty of parking space, and lockable bike storage and a workshop for cyclists. No smoking.
