'The Ness Apartment' is a luxury lower ground level apartment situated in the brothers wing within the walls of the old fort now part of the prestigious development of St Benedicts abbey and The Highland Club. Just a short stroll from the banks of Loch Ness across the abbey lawns it is furnished to a extremely high standard with one large bedroom with king sized bed, en-suite bedroom with bath and separate shower. The spacious comfortable living/dining room is well appointed, with the addition of a sofa bed allows this apartment to be shared by two couples or a family with children. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, bluetooth speaker system, Internet access is available within the apartment. A large range of books maps and travel guides are on hand. A travel cot is available by prior arrangement. The separate fully equipped kitchen has black granite worktops, electric oven and hob, stainless steel inset sink, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/drier, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a separate shower room and toilet accessed from the hallway. The Ness Apartment is reached from the loch side of the Abbey through the old gate of the fort, down a spiral staircase onto a secluded terrace with outdoor seating/dining shared by one other apartment, just three more steps lead you to the private entrance of the property. Facilities at the abbey include a shared indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym, a residents lounge with snooker table and comfortable seating. Outside within the 20 acres of private gardens are, tennis and badminton courts, children's play area, table tennis and BBQ area.Tennis, table tennis and badminton equipment are available for the use of our guests at the apartment. The Boathouse restaurant is adjacent to the old fort. The village of Fort Augustus is a two minute walk from the property with all the facilities you would expect from a popular highland holiday resort, a variety of shops, pubs serving cask ales, restaurants. On offer amongst many others holiday pursuits there are boat and fishing trips, mountain walks, bike routes. You will be met on arrival at the start of you stay and showed around the apartment and the facilities of the Abbey. Toiletries, a welcome pack of tea coffee etc, all bed linen and towels are also provided, just bring your own pool towels. Pets are not allowed at this property
