The pretty town of Biggar is less than two miles away where you will find everything you need including butcher shops, post office, unique gifts, restaurants and two small supermarkets. The holiday lodge is in an excellent central location. Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily reached within an hour and the world class mountain biking centre of Glentress is half an hour by car. The world Heritage Centre at New Lanark is close by and there are many other places of interest nearby including Traquair House and Dawyck Botanic Gardens
. Enthralling hill walks, plenty of golf courses in the area and fishing on the Clyde or the Tweed
– you can do it all from The New Farmhouse. Very well equipped, warm and comfy just delight in the serenity, everything is here for you.
Directions
From the South, exit at junction 13 of the M74 for A702 Edinburgh/Lanark then at roundabout take 2nd exit for Biggar A702. Once through Biggar take right for Peebles on A72. The New Farmhouse is prominently situated to the rear of the developed Skirling Mill farm steading about ¾ of a mile on the left and before the village of Skirling. Take 3rd left into Skirling Mill and follow the road to the back. There is a static caravan at the entrance to the property. From the North, from Edinburgh City bypass take the A702 Carlisle then take left just before Biggar on to the A72 and follow directions as above.

There are buses to Biggar from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dumfries.
