Accommodation The accommodation comprises of two, one bedroom apartments, for rent individually or as a unit. Each one bedroom apartments comprises: bedroom with double bed, living room with sofa bed that converts to a double bed fully fitted kitchen shower room. A cot with bedding and high chair are available on request The accommodation is strictly non-smoking Location: The Old Byre is located at Ladyleys, 20 miles north of Aberdeen and 2 miles north east of Oldmeldrum. A car is essential. Free parking available on site. Local Amenities: There is a riding stables next door to the Old Byre and two golf courses (Oldmeldrum & Meldrum House) within a 2 mile radius. Also nearby is the Lochter Activity Centre, which offers loch trout fishing and a range of outdoor activities. For guests with young children, Hoodles Playbarn is located just outside of Oldmeldrum on the road to Inverurie. The Redgarth is located nearby and offers a good menu as well as a fine selection of ales including three draught beers. Meldrum House is also close by and offers good food for those special occasions. Food is also available at The Meldrum Arms Hotel, Morris's Hotel, Spice Cottage (Indian) and Tigerlily (Thai & Chinese). The last two provide a takeaway service. There are also restaurants at Lochter & Formartines. Inverurie is around 7 miles away and there is a larger selection of pubs and restaurants located there. Transportation: There is a station in Inverurie and trains run regularly to Dyce, Aberdeen and all stations to Inverness. There are also direct services to Edinburgh & Glasgow, calling at stations in between. Aberdeen Airport at Dyce is 15 miles away.
