In a picturesque setting right on the seafront in the pretty fishing village of Lower Burnmouth sits The Olds Lobster House, near Berwick-upon-Tweed (6m).
This quaint cottage was converted from an old lobster holding pen and has stunning views out to sea throughout. There is a spacious dining kitchen and cosy sitting room with comfortable seating around the wood-burning stove. Upstairs are a double and a single bedroom, both of which have large windows from which to further admire the captivating sea views.
The village has a pub, a restaurant and a working harbour where you can buy amazingly fresh lobsters and crabs. Eyemouth (3m) has shops, small supermarkets and pubs. You can feed seals in the harbour there, or take a boat trip, and the sprawling sandy beach at Coldingham Bay (6.5m) is in easy reach.
