The traditional style house sits in extensive private grounds just outside the village of Ardgay in Sutherland. This 4-bedroom property sleeps 8 guests in a quiet and tranquil area of Ardgay in the Dornoch & Sutherland area offers guests a relaxing Highland holiday. The house is accessed via a 200-metre private track.
Ground floor: The kitchen/ breakfast room consists of an electric oven, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, electric kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery, glassware and utensils. The breakfast table has 6 chairs. The lounge is furnished with a homely traditional style. There are 2 x 2-seater settees, armchair, 4 easy chairs, fireplace and a TV with DVD player. The conservatory is just off the lounge and has seating for 6 around a dining table. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower, wash hand basin and toilet. The annex is interconnected to main house ad offers guests a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and access to walled garden. Stairway to access bedroom. Annex bedroom is access via the stairway from the annex. 2 single beds, bedside stands with lamps, clothes rail, chest of drawers, armchair and electrical heater. The master bedroom can be arranged with a king-size bed or 2 singles. There is a chest of drawers, bedside unites with lamps, bookshelf with a selection of books, wardrobe and an en-suite washroom with toilet. The third bedroom has 2 single beds, bedside stands with lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe, rocking chair and electric heater. The fourth bedroom consists of 2 single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair and electric heater. The bathroom has a bath, wash hand basin and toilet. The outside consists of an extensive private garden and grounds. Access to the River Carron. Ample parking space. The house is accessed via a private road which is mainly grass. The road is not suitable for sports cars with low suspension. The house has electric heating throughout. Hot water is also electrically heated. There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Guests have access to the entire property.
Prior to your arrival we will email guests a contact number for the property owner or local housekeeper for your use should you require any assistance during your stay. A car is needed when staying at The Old Manse as this is a rural area. There is a bus service from Ardgay running through to Tain. No smoking. Not suitable for pets. No parties or events. Check-in time is 4PM - 10PM. Check out time is 10am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay. All bed linen, towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included in the price. A starter pack of supplies: includes toilet rolls, complimentary sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags.
