The Old Mill.
Sleeps 3+1 in a double room, single room and a sofa bed.
The cottage is located on a 155 acre estate encompassing a loch and stretch of river in beautiful Glencannich. The Old Mill once housed the mill worker and has been sympathetically renovated with modern amenities. Adjacent to the owner's house (but not overlooked) with a secure, private garden and views over Loch Craskie.
The double height living area features original metal wall ties perfect for drying your walking gear in front of the wood burning stove. There is a TV/DVD player (no signal), unlimited wifi for streaming and a selection of DVD's. The newly fitted kitchen has a breakfast table and views over the loch. A luxury bathroom has been fitted with a shower over a full-sized bath. Both bedrooms have 100% cotton bed linen and all towels are provided.
Water for the Old Mill comes from a borehole supply which is mineral-rich and solves the problem of brown, peaty water without compromising on taste.
The estate has an abundance of wildlife including otters, badgers, pine martins and golden eagles. Red deer come down to the loch most days and the annual rut takes place the other side of the garden fence. Perfect for photographers, especially in October when the rutting stags come close to the cottage.
Low season: £425pw High season: £575pw (Saturday - Saturday). Short breaks and last minute discounts are often available, see website for details.
Fishing permits are available for the loch and river which contain wild Brown Trout and Pike.
Dogs welcome by arrangement.
