Welcome to The Ranald Hotel, Oban's newest built hotel. We are conveniently situated in a central location only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal, railway station and bus station and local shops and amenities.

The Ranald Hotel adds a modern Scottish twist to comfortable surroundings. We have 17 rooms in total, a range of compact, standard, grand and grand plus. All rooms have comfortable king or super king size beds with fluffy duck down pillows and are equipped with flat screen TV's, i-pod docking stations, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary WiFi.

There is not a lift in the Ranald but we have one ground floor room with disabled access. Our staff are always on hand to help with luggage and we will do our best to try and accommodate you on a lower floor if that is required. Please just let us know of any special requests or requirements at the time of booking.

Our relaxing, contemporary lounge bar is the perfect place for a quiet drink before or after heading out in Oban to enjoy the local bars and restaurants.

We don't offer a full Scottish breakfast opting instead for a quirkier option where our guests can choose from a selection of hot beverages, a buffet selection including fresh fruit juices and smoothies, cereals, youghurts & fruits, toast, pastries and homemade preserves and our Made to order selection of Baked eggs, continental meats, sliced ham & cheddar, warm Scottish pancakes or Smoked Salmon or Ham with cream cheese bagels. For those guests that don't have time to sit down for brekfast in the morning, just let our staff know the previous evening and we will ansure that a 'breakfast grab bag' is prepared and waiting for you.

There are lots of activities and sightseeing opportunities in Oban and it is also an excellent base for exploring further afield in the West Highlands of Scotland.
