On the shores of Loch Sunart, nestled amongst seventy acres of ancient forest and rugged hillside, your restorative holiday awaits!
Each of our three holiday cottages are wonderfully unique, yet all share the same loving attention to detail in their craftsmanship and finish. Greenwood Retreat is ideal if you are seeking a quiet and peaceful place to recharge, a romantic get-away, and a base to explore the rugged landscapes and wildlife that Ardnamurchan has in abundance.
The Ruin & Byre was a derelict croft last inhabited over 100 years ago. Lovingly restored, it is delightfully comfortable, complete with underfloor heating, whilst retaining its original hardy and humble character. Situated right on the shoreline, your neighbours are inquisitive seals and elusive otters; the call of oystercatchers and gulls linger on the breeze.
The Ruin, with its exposed stone walls, is mainly open plan. It has a wood-burning stove enjoyed from a comfy L-shaped sofa. There is a picturesque dining area, a well-furnished kitchen, and a double bed hidden behind delicate, white curtains. In the bathroom, there is a shower and a short bath. The Byre is seven metres from the Ruin, and houses the utility room, bunk beds and sitting room. A South West stone terrace provides a lovely outdoor seating.
