An ideal home away from home. The Shieling is a detached bungalow with generously sized rooms and is the perfect place for a family to enjoy some time in a gorgeous town in the Scottish Southern Uplands. Located in a street just outside the town centre, the house is ideally placed for accessing the town centre on foot.
Enjoy some local independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants then stroll home via the scenic route and see what you discover in the historic small town of Biggar. As mentioned, the actual property is designed with a family in mind. There are three bedrooms that can sleep up to six guests. The master bedroom to the front of the property has a kingsize bed. Looking onto the rear gardens there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the third bedroom has twin trundle beds so can be set up as a twin or with only one bed, allowing more floor space or as a third double bed. A modern shower room with walk-in shower is ideal for those mornings before a day’s activities in South Lanarkshire and neighbouring Scottish Borders. The kitchen is even better and will be welcomed on your return from your adventures. The well-equipped space is perfect for preparing and enjoying family meals and the dishwasher will take care of the aftermath. There is a back porch where the muddy clothes can be taken and thrown in the washing machine whilst you relax in the living room in front of a movie or enjoy yourselves playing games and finding your ‘inner child’ again.
Another fabulous point that guests will appreciate, is how accessible Biggar is to the surrounding road and motorway network. Edinburgh to the north east, Glasgow to the north west and Carlisle to the south, are all reachable within an hour by car. Guests will never be short of an activity or an adventure, whatever it is that your family enjoys.
