The Tower is a barrel vaulted room at the top of the turnpike stair in the 14c tower at Faside Castle. It is completely private and secluded. The stair continues up to the roof walk which has fantastic views.
The fourth floor accommodation which sleeps two contains an emperor sized bed which is seven feet square, a new bathroom suite with double ended slipper bath and a seating area with coffee and tea making facilities, a microwave and fridge. A spiral stair leads to the roof walkway where there are panoramic views over the Firth of Forth to Forth Rail Bridge, Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh, the coast of Fife and on a really clear day over to the Lomond Hills. The room is ideal for a romantic break for a couple.
Within the shared grounds there is almost an acre of woodland a quarter of a century old and a small woodland pond. There is a shared barbecue area and picnic bench for enjoyable summer afternoons and evenings. The gardens are surrounded by a beech hedge and have a small orchard where you will find our Black Rock chickens. There is ample free parking space adjacent to the property.
Wallyford station is only 3 miles away with free parking and the train takes 11 minutes to get to Waverley Station, right in the heart of Edinburgh.
