The park is located a 15 minute drive from Stirling, allowing visitors to explore the city and its historic significance. With the Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and the site of the Battle of Bannockburn within easy reach there's lots to see. For those less historically inclined, the city itself has many other attractions to explore, as well as a host of bars and restaurants to sample. From Stirling train station, or via the motorway there, it is an easy drive to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, both within 45 minutes of the park.
For those looking to get outdoors, aside from the Ochils themselves, it is an easy 35 min drive to the Trossachs National Park, where you can lose yourself in the lochs and mountains with ease.
