Great Bernera is a wonderful part of the Isle of Lewis. It is steeped in history, with standing stones, a reconstruction of an Iron Age house and a genuine Norse mill.
It also offers offers great opportunities for fishing (be it sea-fishing or loch fishing for trout), bird-watching, walking, nature study. Amongst the vast array of birdlife, golden eagles are often seen and white-tailed sea eagles can occasionally be spotted. In addition, otters and dolphins have been sited.
We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in 1 double and 1 twin room; furnished to a high standard. Both rooms, as with all other rooms in the house, are south-facing with stunning views across Loch Roag and the Uig hills.
In addition there are bikes and fishing tackle to borrow and a barbeque on the deck.
