Nestling in woodland between Lochs Achray and Venachar in the stunning surroundings of Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Tigh a' Mhaide is a self-contained and private annex to a historic cottage in the quiet village of Brig o' Turk. Lochside and woodland walks start from the door, hill walks on Bens A'an, Venue and Ledi are within easy reach as are some of the 21 Munros in the National Park. The popular cycling route of The Duke's Pass and the Trossachs leg of National Cycle Route 7 are nearby.
Tigh a' Mhaide sleeps four in two bright, en-suite bedrooms which can be configured as a king-size and a double or as a double and a twin. Rainfall showers and complimentary Sea Kelp toiletries add a touch of luxury. An open-plan living space includes a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge seating with satellite TV and DVD/Blu-ray player. Bed linen, towels and a welcome pack are all included as is unlimited, free Wi-Fi. A cot, highchair and stair gate are available on request and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
A ground-floor wet room and laundry facilities make this a convenient a base for walkers and cyclists looking for an active holiday while the location makes it ideal for exploring the wider National Park or simply relaxing. Outside, a west facing patio catches the afternoon sun while a secluded, east-facing seating area is perfect for breakfast on sunny mornings. Guests are welcome to explore the bluebell woods and riverbank. Rough putting and croquet courses, along with a chalet-style children's playhouse, are all provided and a table tennis table is available on request.
Brig o' Turk benefits from both a pub and a tearoom, both of which are only a few minutes walk from the cottage.
