This is the largest of our 3 cottages, with two zip and link king size bedrooms on the ground floor which can be set as twin rooms or king size beds. The two attic rooms on the first floor comprising of zip and link king size beds plus one single bed in each. It has been set out in such a way that it is a nice cosy dwelling for 2 – 4 people as well as being good for larger groups and families. Entering through the utility room, which has a tiled floor ideal for all your outdoor boots, coats and wet dogs. There is also a washing machine, tumble drier, fridge/freezer and a drying rack.
The living room has comfortable sofas, set around a traditional stone fireplace, incorporating a wood-burner and a TV and a dining area. The kitchen is open plan with a LPG hob and double electric oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen is well equipped with a good selection of pots, pans, oven dishes, utensils, scales, baking tins etc. Tea towels and oven gloves are provided.
On the ground floor there is both a shower room and a bathroom with toilet, sink and heated towel rails.
The wood burning stove is ready to use with complimentary wood provided on arrival and more can be bought from the farm or local shop as needed. There are also electric convector heaters in all rooms.
Bed linen and towels are provided for the house but NOT for the Beach. Electricity, Freesat TV and Wi-Fi are included in the rent. There is also payphones in the cottage. Open all year round. Wildlife paradise
A travel cot and high chair is available.
Tigh Beag is a non-smoking cottage.
Transport and Travel
From the nearest information centre:- The cottages are 2 miles from Bunessan on the Isle of Mull, so all but seasoned walkers need a car. From Bunessan take the road west towards Craignure 3/4 mile, then first right signed Scoor and Tigh Na Lochan. Then next right to Saorphin Farm.
Getting there by aeroplane:- Nearest airport Glasgow.
Getting there by ferry:- Oban to Craignure car and passenger ferry - Caledonian MacBrayne.
