Tigh Liza stands in an acre of private ground amid trees, a traditional highland croft cottage recently refurbished to a high standard. Bright and well insulated with both a wood burning stove for atmoshere and oil fired central heating.
There is a pleasant conservatory with views to the surrounding hills and down to Kentra Bay. The kitchen is well equipped and upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms and a drying room. There is a large secure stable in the garden available for storing bikes.
The area teems with wildlife and Tigh Liza is adjacent to an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) due to its wild flowers and spectacular mosses. A vast array of birds and animals make this area their home and Pine Martens, Buzzards and Golden Eagles have been spotted nearby, as have Seals, Dolphin and Whales in the offshore waters.
Tigh Liza is great for star gazers - as there is so little light pollution that on a clear night the distant the milky way can be so clearly seen it appears touchable !
1 well behaved pet welcome; No smoking ; Stream within grounds (care with young children).
Getting here by Road:-
The route to Tigh Liza is one of the most scenic in Scotland. From the South travel North on the A82 through Glencoe with its rugged mountains and views on a different scale to the Lake District. Take the Corran ferry across to Ardgour just after Onich, and from Ardgour turn left on to the A861 to Acharacle (approx 45 mins).
Drive through Acharacle and take the left fork at the Church, and left again signposted to Ardtoe. After about 1 mile take the left turn to Arivegaig. On approach to the houses take the right turn just before the bridge. Tigh Liza is the 3rd cottage along on the right hand side.
A car is necessary to fully explore this area.
