Tigh Na Clachan Cottage is a lovely detached fisherman’s cottage in a wonderful setting on the shore of Loch Long.
All on one level, this cottage has a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove, two stylish bedrooms and a modern shower room. There is a gravelled area at the front with seating that is perfectly positioned for admiring the loch.
Garelochhead (2m) has shops and a pub with more extensive facilities at Helensburgh (9.5m). Loch Long is known as a great spot for diving with numerous ship wrecks from WWI and there is a traditional Highland gathering at Rosneath (7.5m) each July with events such as tug of war and tossing the caber. Further north is the Rest and Be Thankful pass where a viewpoint allows you to admire the wonderful outlook out across Glen Croe.
