From stunning scenery, whisky trails, castles and award-winning golf courses to Loch Ness and its illusive monster there is something here for everyone to enjoy.
This unique Bed and Breakfast offers charming, stylish bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms and delicious Scottish breakfasts made from locally sourced ingredients. It is ideally located, being right on the beachfront of Rosemarie bay with its sandy beaches a good choice of nearby eateries, a local pub, golf club, Groam House Museum, church, several local shops and a beach café. Dolphins can often be spotted from some of the bedrooms or (for rooms without sea views) from the lounge, dining room or gardens of this stunning country house.
Chanory Point, famed for dolphin spotting by TV programmes such as “Highlands - Scotland's Wild Heart” is only a short walk away along the beach and a Dolphin Shuttle Bus stops regularly nearby to transport you there and back. In the opposite direction you can go rock pooling, look for caves and hunt for fossils made famous by geologist Hugh Miller at Eathie or visit the Fairy Glen which is an RSPB sanctuary complete with 2 beautiful waterfalls… all this within a short walk. Local busses also stop regularly on their way to Cromarty a beautiful unique old town only 15 minutes away and in the other direction they travel right into the city of Inverness- the capital of the Highlands.
Whether it’s a romantic break for two, a golfing weekend or a wildlife extravaganza, Tigh Na Mara is a great place to stay and you will be assured of a very warm welcome with lots of great memories to take away and treasure.
