Sitting within the pretty village of Salen on the foreshore of Loch Sunart on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, Tigh Na Mara commands amazing views out across the water and the hills beyond. The property has access to the loch from two private beaches suitable for launching a small craft, as well as a favourite fishing rock at the bottom of the garden!
Immaculately presented, the stunning interior consists of a spacious open plan sitting/dining and kitchen area with a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating, patio doors leading out to a large covered seating area, a snug with games/ Tv and extensive library, utility room, two king bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, a family bathroom and two additional showers with WC.
Located in the most westerly area of the UK mainland yet still within a two hour drive from Fort William, the fascinating peninsula of Ardamurchan offers a dramatic backdrop of magnificent mountains and rugged moorland alongside a coastline of stunning white sands and turquoise waters with panoramic views across to the isles of Mull and Skye.
Noted as being one of the least-populated areas in Britain, the area is teeming with a wonderful range of wildlife including otters, seals deer, pine martens, wildcats, and a vast variety of birds including buzzards and eagles.
There are wonderful walks to be had in the surrounding mountains, and in the winter months if skiing is your pleasure, there are a choice of slopes near Fort William or Glencoe, both of which can be reached in just over an hour.
