Canna House is a must see during your stay on this remote island, where you can learn about the history behind the family that purchased this island so many years ago, and the impact they have had on the history of the Gaelic language. There is also a cafe on the island, as well as a small museum and a community shop. If you are looking for handmade gifts on Canna there is Hebridean Beauty at the Pier which sells handmade candles, body and bath products all made on the island using the flora and seaweed. These bathroom products can be sampled at Tighard during your stay. As a host to a wealth of wildlife, Canna is a great place to spot some seabirds such as puffins, Golden eagles and white-tailed eagles, as well as otters, basking sharks, whales and dolphins. If you look hard enough, you may even spot the famously tiny 'Canna Mouse'!
Canna has two accessible stunning Sandy beaches but you can also venture further afield to the other small isles (Eigg, Rum and Muck) for a day trip and enjoy exploring their sandy beaches, interesting walks and local shops on each of these peaceful islands.
