Torrich Apartment has two bedrooms, is well furnished and equipped and is located 2 miles from the historic and picturesque village of Cawdor and 5 miles from the Victorian seaside resort of Nairn with its extensive golden beaches. Inverness, the Capital City of the Highlands with all of its attractions is only 15 miles away.
This attractively furnished and decorated apartment is in a wing of the owner's own home near the historic village of Cawdor, with its church and pub and whose castle was made famous by Shakespeare's play MacBeth.
The Victorian seaside resort of Nairn with its picturesque harbour and miles of golden sandy beaches is less than ten minutes away by car. Here you will find two fine golf courses, swimming pool, theatre, shops and links play area. Adjacent to Nairn is the atmospheric Culbin Forest with its extensive forest trails suitable for walking, biking and horse riding.
The self contained apartment is entered via a well appointed conservatory and consists: Lounge with attractive furnishings, coal effect fire, TV with DVD; fully equipped Kitchen/Diner with dining table and chairs to seat 5, electric cooker, washing machine, dryer, microwave, radio etc; Bedroom 1 with double bed and single folding bed, Bedroom 2 with adult size bunk beds. Bathroom with toilet, overbath shower, and wash basin. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Cot and High Chair available on request.
Torrich was once a working farm and although it is situated in the midst of farmland the only farm animals on the premises are a few Jacob sheep and chickens.
The apartment has electric heating throughout, electricity being paid for via a £1 coin operated meter. An initial £5 worth of electricity is included in the rent.
The apartment has exclusive off-road parking and a large lawned garden including a timber summer house solely for the use of guests. Outdoor furniture and barbecue equipment are provided.
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
Torrich Apartment is central to many local historic sites including to the west Clava Cairns, Culloden Moor Battle Field with its new interpretive centre and the afore mentioned Cawdor Castle; and to the east the picturesque fishing village of Findhorn with it's unique community, the whisky trail and the National Trust's Brodie Castle.
Local amenities include dolphin cruises on the Moray Firth available from Inverness as is viewing of the famous Moray Firth Bottle-nosed Dolphins from nearby Fort George and Chanonry Point on the Black Isle.
The apartment is also ideally situated for day trips to Inverness and beyond including the legendary Loch Ness; Ben Nevis and Fort William; Cairngorm National Park and Aviemore.
Fishing is available nearby, be it at sea or by permit on the local rivers Spey, Findhorn and Nairn.
