Torsa Farmhouse is the only house on the island so you get the whole place to yourself, except for a few sheep and Luing cattle. The house is spacious and well equipped, access is via a small motorboat and the views of sea and islands are unbeatable. The walled garden is good for dogs and as the house sleeps six, the whole family can enjoy the peace and quiet of a holiday on Torsa. There are many attractions in the area, or you can just relax and do nothing. Wildlife abounds, the days are quiet and the nights are peaceful and dark. Torsa is a remote holiday location suitable for those with a sense of adventure.
The house is spacious and laid out on two floors.
The ground floor consists of:
Large conservatory with wonderful views south overlooking Loch Melfort and the Isle of Shuna.
The kitchen and dining area are very well equipped with electric cooker, microwave oven, toaster, storage cupboards, sideboard, dining table and chairs. There is also the farmhouse's original range in place, but this is for decoration only! The kitchen has windows facing east and south.
The sitting room has a three seater sofa, four comfy chairs and a cosy window seat. Compressed woodchip logs and kindling is provided for the log burner with additional logs available for a small charge. There are books and games available plus TV with Freesat and DVD player if you wish to watch a movie (please bring own DVD's).
Downstairs you will also find the shower room, with large enclosed power shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.
There is also a small utility area in the hallway with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink, as well as ample room for boots and coats.
The upstairs accommodation comprises:

The twin room has plenty of room for two pine single beds, a wardrobe and drawers.
The bunk room has full size bunk beds and large chest of drawers.
Family bathroom with bath, over head power shower, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail.
All beds are made up for your arrival with towels provided for each guest.
Garden and Transportation
The house is surrounded by a half acre walled garden with three gates. This is bounded on the north east corner by the barns, which house the Egator.
Transport is provided in the form of a rigid tubed dinghy called Cutty which is kept on a running mooring and access is via stepping over the side of her (approx. 1m height) onto the stone beach. There is no jetty, pontoon, pier, dock etc, which is why we recommend wellies! Once on land you have the use of an Egator electric buggy to carry luggage and shopping to the house.
