Upper Sonachan Farmhouse is a traditional, detached house tucked away in a secluded private loch-side estate overlooking majestic Loch Awe.
Its large open plan living area has a cosy wood-burning stove at its centre with comfortable seating around it and a modern kitchen area with dining alongside. There is a twin bedroom and shower room downstairs, while upstairs are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom. Outside there are stunning views of the loch to enjoy and 180 acres of private land to explore.
There are two pub restaurants in easy walking distance of the house. Loch Awe offers fishing, dinghy sailing, motor boating and canoeing and mountain bikers can take to the many nearby forestry tracks. Inveraray has a golf course, leisure centre, supermarkets, riding stables and cycle hire, as well as the original Loch Fyne Oyster Restaurant. There are shops, supermarkets and restaurants at Lochgilphead (30m) and Oban (30m), which is a major port for ferries to the Hebridean Islands.
