The main attractions of the area are the stunning wildlife watching opportunities, both at sea and on the land; Golf; Day-trips or launching point for visits to Orkney; The Castle of Mey; The Pulteney Distillery in Wick; Castle Sinclair Girnigoe; the beaches and coastal caves along the North coast; Borgie Forest; World championship surfing events at Wick and other beaches; and the ancient Cairns and burial chambers along the A9 in Caithness.
There are two very famous Neolithic chambers at The Gray Cairns of Camster really worth a visit as well as The Caitness Horizons
All are welcome at Valley View, especially children – please ask for a cot or high-chair – but, sadly, we cannot have visiting pets.
