Both Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached in within an hour and Carlisle is just forty minutes to the south.

The nearby magnificent 60 metre cascading waterfall, known at The Grey Mare’s tail, is one of Scotland’s finest and the walk up to Loch Skeen is listed as one of Britain’s best.
