West Heather is an architect-designed property located a few miles away from the city centre of Inverness. Sleeping 10 people in 5 spacious bedrooms, the property is ideal for family celebrations and for those looking to explore the Highland capital.
The house has been designed with split levels throughout the ground floor, which breaks up each living space beautifully. Step down into the living area which has large French patio doors that lead outside to the enclosed garden. This room makes the perfect social space for everyone to enjoy, and the unique arched windows make a lovely additional feature of the room. The kitchen area is well equipped and contains a range cooker, which is great for cooking those big family meals. The dining room has been fantastically furnished with a solid wooden table which is large enough for everyone to sit and enjoy a home cooked meal as well as an after dinner tipple. Each of the bedrooms are of a good size – in particular, the master bedroom – and have been decorated in a tasteful and modern way. Outside, the garden contains a decked area with summerhouse, so get the barbeque fired up and eat al-fresco in the summer sunshine!
Being in a quiet residential area that is close enough to the city centre will mean you will have to keep reminding yourself that the bustle of Inverness is not far from your doorstep. Inverness has plenty of pubs and bars, as well as a theatre and a cinema if it’s a bit of nightlife that you are looking for. Take a trip to Loch Ness (you can’t visit the Highland capital without doing so!) and go on a boat trip to hunt for a certain monster that is said to lurk around these deep waters. West Heather is also ideally placed for exploring the Highlands and a visit to the tourist hotspot of Aviemore where there are opportunities to do some more adventurous activities such as quad biking, tree-top trailing, archery and clay shooting (and some skiing depending on the time of year you visit!). West Heather is like a home away from home: the perfect house to return to after touring around the Highlands.
