West Tweed is one of two idyllic, rural properties set in the gorgeous countryside of the Old Melrose Estate, right beside the beautiful River Tweed.

Upon entering newly built West Tweed, you are welcomed in by the cosy wood-burning stove and comfy sofa in the open plan living/kitchen area, which is incredibly bright and airy due to its wonderful high ceilings and large sliding glass doors.

The vibrant double bedroom has an amazing king-size bed to sink into that faces right out towards glass doors so you can relish the sight of the beautiful rolling hills. The modern bathroom has a massive walk-in shower and a separate stylish bath. Outside, the wraparound decking area is the perfect place to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery that completely surrounds you.

There is plenty to explore in the Scottish Borders, such as visiting the famous viewpoint Scott’s View or, for those interested in history, the fascinating Smailholm Tower only 10 minutes’ drive away. Both of these were very special places to Sir Walter Scott and it is easy to see why!
