The open plan living area is very well appointed with a large fully equipped kitchen and dining table that seats four. The wood burning stove ensures the area remains warm in the winter months and the high ceilings add to the light and airy feeling throughout. Glass sliding doors lead onto the decking and offer a stunning view over the surrounding fields and woodland.
The cosy double bedroom with king-size bed has sliding doors that lead out to the large wrap around deck and offer a wonderful woodland view to wake up to in the morning. The decked seating area allows guests to relax at any time of the day and soak up the sights and sounds of nature.
The spacious bathroom with its lovely patterned tiled floor is kept warm with underfloor heating and an electric towel rail. The large walk in shower and separate bath allows guests to pamper themselves in style.
With walks leading straight off into the surrounding Estate and a path from each cottage that heads down to the wonderful river, Old Melrose Estate is a wonderful place to relax and recharge your batteries and enjoy the delights of the Scottish Borders in both comfort and style. Guests are encouraged to explore the Estate’s riverside and woodland walks, picnic by the river, feed the Estate’s chickens, pigs and goats, wander round the Victorian walled garden or simply visit the tearooms.
