CORONAVIRUS GUIDANCE – BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE. We are well into this pandemic. The only thing for certain is, nothing is for certain. I have personally booked my own short breaks and holidays for later in 2021. I did so knowing that the local rules may change, but also with the view that things will get better. It fair lifts the spirits to have something to look forward to. In that light we take your booking in good faith that the lockdown restrictions will have been lifted and visitors are welcome. In the event that lockdown changes in any part of the UK that will stop you coming, you will be offered a change of date (subject to any upwards price change), a credit, or a refund minus a £25 admin charge. Please understand that this offer is based on the rules at the time and not on if you ‘think’ the rules will change.
I always travel with insurance. You have the option of taking
Booking Protection. This will cover you in the event of illness and other causes as explained in their cover. If you are planning well in advance, or booking a high value holiday, we recommend you consider this.

INTRO
In a private garden location, Westering Cottage is ideal for guests wanting to be right by the waters edge. You are in the village – but it doesn’t feel like it. “Never stayed anywhere you can go seal spotting from the comfort of your sofa before! Stunning setting and you can spend hours just staring out at the wildlife/loch/mountains.” Guest review – October 2017
WELCOME TO WESTERING COTTAGE
If it is a loch view property in a private setting you are looking for, then Westering Cottage certainly ticks those boxes. Located on the private Inverlounan Road on the east shore of Loch Goil you benefit from the sun all day until it dips over the mountains in the west.
With a mature and private garden this cottage is a real sun trap. The pictures speak for themselves. You can't get any closer to the loch without actualy being in it.
There is a parking bay for one car at the entrance to the cottage. 17 steps down from the entrance to access the cottage. The garden surrounds three sides of Westerings. There is a grassy sitting area on one side which has access from the sliding doors in the dining area. To the front is a smaller patio are. There is no access from the cottage down to the shore as there is a sea-wall with a locked gate.
The first thing that strikes you on entering the cottage is just how light it is. The floor to ceiling windows brings the view right into the living areas. The spacious lounge and dining area is set up so as to maximise the view. With the large windows and patio doors in the lounge this is a bright and airy property. The kitchen has a breakfast bar which opens up into the lounge. There is a storage heater in the hall. All other rooms have portable heaters. Beds are made up for your arrival. Please bring your own towels.
