Accommodation is in your own self-contained wing of the traditional stone farmhouse on two levels. The house can sleep up to five and includes private entrance porch, cloakroom, kitchen facilities, dining room/hall/sitting/study, sitting room, kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom and full use of the garden (with seating and barbecue). Furnishings, rugs and accessories are mostly antique and the artwork original.
Every room (including the bathroom) has wonderful views over the garden and the valley to the hills beyond. One bedroom has a kingsize bed, the other has twin beds. Beds have wonderfully comfortable pocket sprung mattresses, feather and down duvets (synthetic available on request), pure cotton or linen bedding, choice of pillows and electric blankets. Rooms have hairdryers. An extra bed can be provided in the twin room on request.
You can take farm walks using our app with detailed directions, perhaps to the Neolithic Henge at the far end of the farm. There is also a walking and riding route on the other side of our road directly onto the Pentland Hills.
As a livestock farm breeding and managing cattle and sheep and with five horses of our own, two collies, a lurcher, an elderly cat and four peacocks, we unfortunately cannot take dogs.
If you have any questions or special requests, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We will respond quickly and do our best to help.
