It is the third of the 2019-20 Home Nations series, with snooker’s top stars battling for prestigious titles. The event starts with 128 players in a flat draw, and a field packed with the sport’s leading cuemen.
Mark Allen won the title last year by beating Shaun Murphy 9-7 in the final. Local favourite John Higgins reached the final in 2016 and is determined to win it, alongside other Scottish stars including Stephen Maguire, Anthony McGill, Graeme Dott and Alan McManus.
Tickets start at just £10 and fans are strongly urged to book quickly as certain sessions will sell out fast.
