Kyra Clegg uses video, poetry and mixed media to present seas and coastlines which catch the murmur of other voices. She features things that inhabit coastal spaces from fossils to Second World War concrete ruins. She says "My work deals with landscape, habitation and concepts of time and memory and explores how inner perceptions create patterns in the external world."
In Beyond the Surface, Marysia Lachowicz visualises the powerful physicality of the sea. Abstract unpredictable images created directly in the sea, using a special photographic technique sit alongside photographs documenting decaying coastal structures. Marysia says "I work mainly with a digital camera but I'm also interested in 19th century photographic techniques so I love to explore the possibilities of new and old techniques.
