Internationally acclaimed pianist Santa Ignace, who is originally from Latvia, will be performing some of the most famous and beloved compositions of the classical and romantic period at Pollok House, Glasgow on November 24th at 2pm, 2018.
Santa, who is currently lecturing in Piano at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland, Glasgow and CIT Cork School of Music, Cork, Ireland, has been performing and competing at the highest level throughout Europe for the past twenty years. This year Santa was also nominated and selected to take part in a very special Female Conducting Programme at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ireland, to study with some of the best conductors in Europe, including Alice Farnham, Bobby Houlihan and David Brophy. Santa has recently been invited to Conducting masterclasses at ST.Petersburg, Russia where she will be conducting First Movement by Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No2 and First Movement by Beethoven Symphony No5.
Santa is also excited to be involved in the forthcoming Edinburgh Fringe Festival as a soloist and this coming Summer she will be recording her first CD which will include Passacaglia by Godowsky, Sonata NO2 by Rachmaninov and Four Ballades by Chopin.
