Acrobatic Balancing Workshop (Circus week) with Lauren Hendry
Join us for a session of acrobatic balancing. Working with partners and in larger groups, we’ll learn lots of new ways to balance with each other and lift each other up; like human pyramids and sitting/ standing on shoulders. The session will be led by Lauren Hendry. Originally from the Black Isle, Lauren spent her childhood doing gymnastics before moving to London to train at the National Centre for Circus Arts (2004-2007). She co-founded So & So Circus Theatre, with whom she co-created and toured acrobatic-theatre shows across the UK, as well as performing internationally, before returning to Scotland in 2017. She has taught regularly at the National Circus for Circus Arts, Aerial Edge and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. No acrobatic/ gymnastic experience needed. Please inform us of any access needs in advance so we can tailor the session to you. This session is free to attend but booking is essential. Please wear comfortable clothing. Age guidance: 13-19
