We are delighted to host an evening of readings with Leila Aboulela. Leila grew up in Sudan and moved, in her mid-twenties, to Scotland. A Caine Prize winner, her novels include The Translator, a New York Times 100 Notable Books of the Year, and Lyrics Alley, Fiction Winner of the Scottish Book Awards. Leila’s work has been translated into 15 languages, broadcast on BBC Radio and she was long-listed three times for the Orange Prize. Her new collection of stories is Elsewhere, Home.
