Photography workshop with Jeni Reid.
Saturday 7 October
11am - 1pm
Walled Garden at Hospitalfield
Mobile phone photography workshop.
The harvest is here, the mist is rising from the fields and there’s a chill in the air most mornings. It’s a time of abundance in the orchard but it’s also a time for sorting and preparing the fruits of our labours.
Mobile phones have made photographers of us all and there’s a rich harvest of images to choose from: artist Jeni Reid invites us to look at the images on our phones and ask: can you have too many photos?
With a mixture of discussion, show and tell and practical tasks, this workshop will challenge you to do something with the photos you love and invite you to edit out the bad apples that take up so much space in our phone memories.
This workshop is suitable for adults and children over 12. Younger children are welcome to join along with their parents. The workshop is outdoors so please dress suitably for the weather, however if it is too wet we will meet indoors.
No experience necessary, suitable for ages 8 and upwards.
Children under 12 to be accompanied by an adult.
If you’d like to join us but don’t have access to a phone or tablet, please let us know and we can provide one.
