The ever popular Arran Folk Festival returns in 2017 with some exciting new additions. As well as the usual musical delights which you will have come to expect, workshops will now be available too. GrÃ¡nne Brady, a fiddle player and composer is heavily involved in the folk scene and regularly plays with some of Scotland’s finest will be hosting the fiddle workshop on 10 June. In addition Rab Noakes, will be hosting the songwriting workshop on 11 June, whereby insights into both songwriting and performance will be covered. Toe-tapping music will be playing all weekend on the Island and the Open Sessions at the Douglas Hotel are free so don’t miss out.
